What do you understand by the term Heat Shrink Tubing?
There are many of you who are new to the term known as the Heat Shrink Tubing. The Heat Shrink Tubing is the special type of tubing which is being shrunk in order to meet the requirements and needs of a cable. The Heat Shrink Tubing is generally used for the purpose of repairing and maintenance of various electrical appliances like the cell phones, iPods, the mp3 players and many more. The major use of this type of tubing is found in order to insulate the fraction of heat from the cable wire. It can also be used for the prevention of a cable against the rust, water and harmful effects of dust.
Usually, a thermoplastic material is used to the large extent for the manufacturing of the Heat Shrink Tubing, but there are some other alternatives like the PVC i.e. Polyvinyl chloride and the Polyolefin which can also be used in the making of Heat Shrink Tubing. There are many types of plastic which will shrink on the application of heat and many not be used again for different applications, Heat Shrink Tubing is used to overcome such flaws seen in plastic.
